Hi Matt,

I had to actually look up "open relationships" for an explanation of what this conversation is about. Having celebrated my 51st wedding anniversary on June 14th, although my wife crossed the threshold some fourteen years ago in October 2010, I can speak for the concept of "super monogamy", and how it works. I like very much your honesty and drive, and even with an alter-ego, which makes my life more alive. Occult Science 15 is a gem. Your ability to step in and moderate is astounding. Hats off. Always love Angus with that infectious smile. He is so great. We only have a slim margin between us. PoF, chapter 9, which appears to be a clincher toward something. Maybe, it will appear someday. Ahh, someday, is like "oy vey". Time, the patient frustrator waiting on the human being.

Another interesting conversation.

And as usual, a lot of content and potential depth. So I will throw a few ideas to the mix.

Yes, I agree Androgyny is most clearly an attractor point in evolution. It is an esoteric fact. Also agree that things are going to be messy for a while, partly due to the normal process of deconstructing old forms. But we should also be aware of distortions. Typically things can derail by creating an undue acceleration. More specifically, moving too fast into androgyny without integrating fully the polarity (and overcoming the ancestral wounds we have inherited as males and females) has its dangers.

Polarity is not just attractive (00:44) - it’s a source of power. It either uses us or we use it. In my view, the worthy challenge is to learn how to play the game first, otherwise we run the risk of becoming more hermaphrodites. In other words, aim to become more tessellated, instead of un-erotic and grey.

Another interesting topic (1:37) the call for deep phenomenology. Being a regression therapist and a long term meditator I am well aware that the human composite is in itself the book of creation (you touch upon this at 1:54, yes the model of subtle bodies is essential to understand the flow from the micro to the macro cosmos). Deep/ancient states are not at all inaccessible experientially. It is a matter of applying a correct method.

So yes, good to bring the topic of method to the discussion. For all my immense admiration towards R. Steiner, I don’t think he excelled in methodology (it is not therefore a surprise that so many anthroposophists rely on theory rather than direct knowledge).

Experiencing directly, in one self, the great cosmic play, is profoundly transformational, I would say for all sides.

And Matthew when you mentioned your next book another esoteric giant came to my mind: Jacob Boehme, that you may already be familiar with. There has been a courageous attempt to link it to science by the physicist Basarab Nicolescu (Science, Meaning and Evolution - The Cosmology of Jacob Boehme).

Thank you for sharing these ambitious topics with candour. The conversation becomes infused with gentleness and warmth, which serve well the mind and makes the discussion all the more pleasant to this listener.

👍 Great. Thank you.

The idea that the higher the spirit the lower in the body it lives, I find helpful when reflecting on sexuality. Also to reinstate the concept of fertilisation as part of the sex act.Fertilization as a context to bodily intimacy seems to be more regarded as something secondary to orgasmic pleasure.

Last point: sexual discussion can be much more explicit, detailed almost lascivious.

You guys are a bit euphemistic in places. I’m sure you’ve heard females talking about their take on matters sexual 😂👍

Thanks again.

❤️🙏

Have you considered putting these conversations on your podcast feed? There’s also a lot of your long form YouTube content I would love to see on there.
