My trip to Harvard gave me occasion to reflect not only on Whitehead's legacy, but on his resonances with Emerson and their shared vision of philosophical education.
Great recap, and such a beautiful and poetic transmission there at the end weaving together the energies of that specific place and the spirit of Whitehead and Emerson’s work.
Speaking of aesthetics, I'm trying to understand how this word is being used in the context of Whitehead. I suspect it's about all those non-rational things Western philosophy is uncomfortable with, from poetry to a dog's tail-wagging.
Love how Whitehead’s work bridges so many disciplines and cultural contexts, from philosophy to science to Chinese cosmology. His influence on both the Western and Eastern intellectual traditions is truly remarkable!

Thanks, Kent!
I wanted to be there but couldn’t. Thank you for giving me this experience!

Yes he means aesthetics in the broadest sense as how we encounter reality through our feeling life.
Thanks for the commentary!
